Tournament FAQ[updated]

Q. How do I participate in the tournament?

Ans: To join the tournament, wait for the embed with the join button to appear, which will be displayed five minutes before the tournament commences. If you possess the necessary platform role, you will receive a notification and granted access to the tournament. If you wish to be notified, make sure to claim the platform role from the Channels & Roles section.

Q. What is the procedure for updating the results?

Ans: To update the results, click on the "Win" or "Lose" button based on the outcome of the match. The final result will be displayed in an embed once both participants have updated the results properly.

Q. What should I do if I am unable to connect with my opponent?

Ans: If you encounter difficulties connecting with your opponent, first ensure that both players have attempted to host the match, after switching between wifi/data. If the issue persists, try using a VPN to see if that resolves the problem.

However, if matchmaking remains unsuccessful despite these efforts, the next step is to settle the matter through a coin-flip. You will need to choose either heads or tails and use the /coinflip command three times to make it a best of three

Note!!: You don't have to wait for a tournament staff to conduct the coin-flip; you can do it yourself as long as your opponent is informed of your choice.

Please keep in mind that tournament finals should not be decided by coin-flips. If the finalists fail to play the match, the tournament will be canceled.

Q. What should I do if I've updated my result, but my opponent is unresponsive?

Ans: Ensure that you update your result as early as possible. If your opponent doesn't plan on updating, you'll automatically be given the win when the round ends.

Q. I received a notification from the bot indicating a conflict between me and my opponent, what should I do in this situation?

Ans: If a conflict arises and remains unresolved by the round deadline, both players will be disqualified. To address the issue, ask your opponent to update the result properly.Inform a @QFOrganizer with proper proof to rectify the result if your opponent does not plan on making it right.

A conflict occurs when both players click on win, so mass ping your opponent to ensure they update it correctly. Deliberate attempts to exploit the situation will result in a ban from future tournaments. Notify a @QFOrganizer before the next round starts, to resolve conflicts promptly.

Remember, it's your responsibility to ensure conflict resolution; ask your opponent to update or inform the concerned @QFOrganizer. Failure to resolve conflicts before the round deadline will disqualify you and your opponent from the tournament.

Q. What should I do if my opponent clicked "ready" but is not responding and prolonging the fixture?

Ans: If your opponent is unresponsive and delaying the fixture, click on "win" in the corresponding fixtures channel. Ping your opponent multiple times to indicate your readiness. If your opponent still doesn't plan on participating/replying, please do click on "win" and wait until the round ends.

Important: If your opponent appears around 5-10 minutes before the round ends, DO NOT play your match. There will not be enough time to complete the match and update the results before the round ends, thus putting your fixture in jeopardy

Q. The match got disconnected due to some random reason. What do I do ?

Ans: If this situation arises, go ahead and play the remaining minutes of the match. The final score will be determined based on the goals scored in both the first and second matches. We encourage you to use your judgment and arrive at a fair conclusion instead of involving the staffs for every minor issue.

Attention!

The entire tournament is automated, so don't rely on the staff's assistance unless:

  • A conflict arises
  • Participants engage in misconduct

All participants are expected to adhere to the rules and compete with sportsmanship and integrity. Even in the face of disappointing results, maintain a positive demeanor and conduct. Keep in mind that we host multiple tournaments daily, so avoid any actions that may result in your exclusion from future tournaments.
